Privacy Policy for Mole Security Toolkit
Effective Date: August 4, 2026 | Terms of Service
Overview
Mole Security Toolkit ("the app") is an Android network and wireless assessment toolkit developed by Latent Divergence Studios ("we", "us"). The app is designed to operate completely offline-first. Everything captured by Mole stays strictly on your device in an encrypted database. There are no user accounts, no analytics, no crash reports, no telemetry, and no remote servers.
1. Data Handling & Local Storage
Mole Security Toolkit performs local network diagnostic and wireless assessment operations entirely on your device. The app stores collected information in an encrypted database (SQLCipher) locked with hardware-backed encryption keys. Specifically:
- Wi-Fi & Bluetooth Surveys: BSSIDs, SSIDs, signal strengths, channel occupancy, device names, and parsed advertisement data stay on your device.
- Network & Port Scans: Discovered IP addresses, open ports, banners, and MAC vendor resolution stay on your device.
- Device Audits & Reports: Audit logs, trust store findings, hardware inventory, and signed export reports (PDF, JSON, CSV, Markdown, Nmap XML) stay local.
We do not collect, transmit, upload, or sell any of your assessment data or telemetry.
2. Permissions and Usage
Mole Security Toolkit requires Android permissions solely to perform requested diagnostic scans locally:
- Nearby Devices & Bluetooth: Required to perform BLE/Classic Bluetooth discovery and advertisement decoding.
- Location & Wi-Fi: Required by Android to read Wi-Fi network details (SSID/BSSID) during spectrum and network surveys.
- NFC: Used to scan NDEF tags and read MIFARE memory dumps on demand.
- Notifications & WorkManager: Used for optional background monitoring alerts.
3. Third-Party Services
Mole Security Toolkit contains zero third-party tracking, analytics, SDKs, or advertising networks. The app operates independently on your hardware.
4. Security
All local assessment records are stored in SQLCipher encrypted storage backed by Android Keystore hardware keys. Reports generated within the app are cryptographically signed on-device for chain-of-custody verification.
