Privacy Policy for LifeOps
Last Updated: March 2026 | Terms of Service
1. Overview
LifeOps ("the App") is an offline-first personal asset and expense management application developed by Latent Divergence Studios. This policy explains what data we handle and how.
2. Data We Collect
We do not collect any personal data. All information you enter — things you own, events, documents, financial figures — is stored exclusively on your device using Android's local Room database and internal file storage.
We do not operate servers. We do not receive, transmit, or have access to any data you enter into the App.
3. Data You Create
The App stores locally on your device:
- Items ("things") you choose to track, with optional purchase prices and dates
- Events and bills associated with those items
- Document images you upload, with optional OCR-extracted text
- Categories, budgets, and preferences you configure
None of this data leaves your device unless you explicitly use the Export Backup feature, which creates a ZIP file that you then share using your device's own share sheet. We have no involvement in or access to that export.
4. Camera and Media Access
The App requests access to your photo library solely to allow you to attach document images to records. Images are copied to the App's private internal storage. We do not upload images anywhere.
5. Biometric Authentication
If your device has a screen lock configured, the App uses Android's BiometricPrompt API to verify your identity before granting access. Biometric data never leaves your device's secure enclave and is never accessible to the App.
6. Notifications
The App uses Android's notification system to send local reminders for upcoming events and bills you have scheduled. These notifications are generated entirely on-device with no network involvement.
7. Analytics and Crash Reporting
The App does not include any analytics, advertising, or crash reporting SDKs. No usage data is collected or transmitted.
8. Third-Party Services
The App uses Google's ML Kit on-device OCR library solely for extracting text from document images. This processing occurs entirely on your device. No image data is sent to Google or any third party.
9. Children's Privacy
The App is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children, and given the App's offline nature, no such collection is possible.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy if the App's functionality changes materially. Updates will be posted at this URL with a revised "Last updated" date.
