Terms of Service for Godseed: Look Away

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using Godseed: Look Away ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

Godseed: Look Away is a mobile god simulation game where players design creatures, manage ecosystems, and observe evolution. The App includes:

• Single-player gameplay with creature design and world simulation
• Sensor-driven "look away" mechanic using device accelerometer
• In-app advertisements served through Google AdMob
• Local data storage for game progress

3. License

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial entertainment purposes, subject to these Terms.

4. User Conduct

You agree not to modify, reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App; use the App for any unlawful purpose; attempt to circumvent any security features; or distribute, share, or sublicense the App except as permitted by the applicable app store.

5. Intellectual Property

All content in the App — including artwork, music, sound effects, code, game mechanics, creature designs, and text — is the intellectual property of Latent Divergence Studios. The procedurally generated creatures you design within the App are created using our systems and remain part of the App experience.

6. Advertisements

The App displays interstitial advertisements through Google AdMob. By using the App, you consent to the display of advertisements. Ads are shown at natural break points during gameplay (e.g., when returning from "look away" mode) with a minimum 10-minute interval between ads.

7. In-App Purchases

The App does not currently offer in-app purchases. All game content is available through gameplay progression.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that defects will be corrected.

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, LATENT DIVERGENCE STUDIOS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF DATA, LOSS OF PROFITS, OR PERSONAL INJURY ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE APP.

10. Virtual Creatures and Game Content

All creatures, settlements, and game elements created within the App are virtual and have no real-world value. The developer assumes no responsibility for emotional attachment to virtual creatures that may develop during gameplay.

11. Device Sensors

The App uses your device's accelerometer sensor to detect phone orientation for the "look away" gameplay mechanic. By using the App, you consent to this sensor usage.

12. Data and Saves

Game progress is saved locally on your device. We are not responsible for loss of game data due to device failure, app uninstallation, or data clearing. There is no cloud save functionality.

13. Modifications to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.

14. Termination

We may terminate your access to the App at any time, for any reason, without notice. Upon termination, all licenses granted to you will immediately cease.

15. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which the developer operates, without regard to conflict of law principles.
