Privacy Policy for FixFlix
Last Updated: August 28, 2026 | Terms of Service
Overview
FixFlix ("the App", "we", "our") is a video repair and editing application developed by Latent Divergence Studios. This Privacy Policy explains what data the App collects, how it is used, and how it is protected. The core principle of FixFlix is simple: your videos are yours. All processing occurs entirely on your device and your video content is never transmitted to us or any third party.
1. What We Collect
We do not collect personal information or video content. FixFlix processes video files entirely on your device using the FFmpeg media framework. No video data, file names, thumbnails, or metadata are transmitted to our servers, because we do not operate servers that receive this data.
The App stores the following data locally on your device only:
- File paths or content URIs of videos you add to the processing queue
- Processing results, quality scores, and error logs for those videos
- Your in-app settings and preferences
- Timestamps for interstitial ad display (for rate-limiting purposes)
- Editor project files (clips, audio, captions) for projects you create
- A local diagnostics log of processing failures — never transmitted, viewable and shareable only by you from Settings
This data remains under your control at all times and is deleted when you clear the App's data or uninstall it.
2. Advertising and Google AdMob
FixFlix displays advertisements served by Google AdMob. Before any advertising data is collected, the App presents a consent form from Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) in compliance with applicable privacy regulations including GDPR and CCPA.
- If you consent to personalised ads: Google may collect your device's advertising ID, approximate location, and ad interaction signals to show you relevant advertisements.
- If you decline personalised ads: You will see non-personalised ads. Google may still collect limited non-personalised signals required for ad delivery.
Advertising data is collected and processed by Google, not by Latent Divergence Studios. For full details on Google's data practices, see: policies.google.com/privacy

No permission is used to collect or transmit your video content or personal data.
5. On-Device AI Captions
The auto-captions feature transcribes speech in your clips using a Whisper AI model running entirely on your device via ONNX Runtime. The model file itself is downloaded once, over HTTPS, when you first use the feature. Your audio is never uploaded — transcription happens locally, and the resulting captions are stored only in your project.
6. Auto-Fix Mode
The optional Auto-Fix feature monitors a watch folder you select and automatically processes new video files as they appear. This feature operates entirely on-device. No video files, file names, or metadata are transmitted outside your device as part of this feature.
7. Third-Party Services
| Service | Purpose | Data Shared | Privacy Policy |
|---|---|---|---|
| Google AdMob | Ad delivery | Device info and ad signals (with consent) | Privacy Policy |

No analytics, crash reporting, or telemetry SDKs are integrated in FixFlix.
8. Children’s Privacy
FixFlix is not directed at children under 13. The App's consent flow is configured to exclude under-age-of-consent targeting for advertising purposes. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
9. Data Deletion
All data FixFlix stores remains on your device under your control. You can delete it at any time by clearing the App's storage in your device settings, or by uninstalling the App. Since no data is transmitted to our servers, deletion is immediate and complete.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected in the "Last Updated" date above. We recommend reviewing this policy periodically. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
