Last Updated: August 28, 2026 | Privacy Policy

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using FixFlix ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the App.

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Latent Divergence Studios ("we", "us", "our"), the developer of FixFlix.

2. Description of Service

FixFlix is an Android application for analysing, repairing, and editing video files stored on your device. All video processing is performed locally using the FFmpeg multimedia framework. The App does not upload your video content to any external server.

3. License

Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the App for your personal, non-commercial purposes on Android devices you own or control.

You may not:

4. Acceptable Use

You are solely responsible for the video content you process using FixFlix. You agree to use the App only on content that you own, have created, or for which you have obtained all necessary rights and permissions. You must not use the App to:

5. Your Content and Backups

You retain full ownership of all video files you process using the App. We do not claim any rights over your content.

Important — keep backups: Video repair and re-encoding is a complex process that can produce unexpected results depending on the source file's condition, codec, and your device's hardware. Always keep a backup of any important video before processing it. We are not responsible for loss of, damage to, or corruption of files that occurs during use of the App.

6. Open Source Components

FixFlix incorporates FFmpeg, which is distributed under the GNU Lesser General Public Licence (LGPL) version 2.1 or later. In accordance with the LGPL, you have the right to obtain the FFmpeg source code and to replace the FFmpeg binary shipped with the App with a compatible build of your own. For source code enquiries or binary replacement assistance, please contact us at the address in Section 12.

7. Advertising

The App is free to use and supported by interstitial advertisements served by Google AdMob. Where required by law, advertisements are shown only after you have been asked for consent through Google’s User Messaging Platform; you can change or withdraw your consent at any time via Settings → Privacy options in the App. Data processing connected with advertising is described in our Privacy Policy.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of defects. Video repair results depend on factors outside our control, including the nature of the source file and your device's capabilities. Processing a video may increase, decrease, or leave unchanged its file size, quality, or compatibility.

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, LATENT DIVERGENCE STUDIOS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF THE APP, INCLUDING LOSS OF VIDEO DATA, LOSS OF PROFITS, OR BUSINESS INTERRUPTION, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING FROM THESE TERMS OR YOUR USE OF THE APP SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE APP IN THE TWELVE MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

10. Modifications

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the App or any of its features at any time without notice. We may update these Terms at any time by posting a revised version. Your continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
