1. Introduction
Sudoku ∞ ("we", "our", or "the App") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you use our mobile application.
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Information You Provide
- Age Group: On first launch, we ask users to select their age group (under 13, 13 to 17, or 18+). This is stored locally on your device and used only to determine ad display settings for COPPA compliance.
2.2 Information Collected Automatically
- Game Data: Puzzle progress, scores, settings, and preferences are stored locally on your device. This data is not sent to our servers.
- Device Information: When ads are displayed, our third-party advertising partners may collect device identifiers, IP addresses, and general location data under their own privacy policies.
2.3 Information We Do NOT Collect
- We do not collect names, email addresses, phone numbers, or other personally identifiable information.
- We do not require account creation.
- We do not collect precise geolocation data.
- We do not collect photos, contacts, or any data from other apps on your device.
3. Children's Privacy (COPPA Compliance)
We take children's privacy seriously.
- Users under 13: If a user identifies as under 13, all advertising is disabled. No data is collected from or about children under 13. Game data stays entirely on the device.
- Users aged 13 to 17: Limited, non-personalised ads may be displayed. No personal data is collected or shared with advertisers.
- Users 18 and older: Standard advertising may be displayed, subject to applicable regulations and user consent.
4. Third-Party Advertising
The App uses Google AdMob to display advertisements. For eligible users, Google AdMob may collect certain information as described in Google's Privacy Policy (https://policies.google.com/privacy).
Users who have opted in may see personalised ads based on interests and activity. You can opt out of personalised advertising through your device settings.
We do not control the data collection practices of our advertising partners and encourage you to review their privacy policies.
5. Data Storage and Security
- All game data (puzzles, progress, settings) is stored locally on your device using an encrypted local database.
- We do not operate servers that store your personal data.
- We use reasonable security measures to protect on-device data, but no method of electronic storage is completely secure.
6. Data Retention
- Game data is kept on your device for as long as the App is installed.
- Uninstalling the App removes all locally stored data.
- We do not keep any data on external servers.

For California Residents (CCPA)
We do not sell personal information. The App collects minimal data as described above.
For European Residents (GDPR)
The legal basis for any data processing is legitimate interest (providing and improving the App) and consent (for personalised advertising, where applicable).
For Australian Residents (Privacy Act 1988)
We comply with the Australian Privacy Principles. We do not collect personal information beyond what is described in this policy.
