Terms of Service for MeasureME

1. Acceptance

These Terms govern your use of the MeasureME Android application (the “App”), provided by Latent Divergence Studios (“we”, “us” or “our”). By installing or using the App, you agree to these Terms and the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

2. What MeasureME Provides

MeasureME is a general-purpose utility providing unit conversions, natural-language calculations, date and world-time comparisons, project material estimates, saved results, live phone-sensor tools and, on compatible devices, augmented-reality distance estimates. The App is ad-supported and has no paid tier, subscription or in-app purchase in version 1.0.

3. Permission to Use

We grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable licence to use the App for lawful personal or internal business purposes, subject to these Terms and applicable store terms. You may not misuse the App, interfere with its operation, circumvent security or advertising controls, distribute unauthorised copies, or reverse engineer it where prohibited by law.

4. Measurement and Calculation Limitations

Results depend on the information you enter, unit definitions, rounding, time-zone data, device calibration, available hardware, magnetic interference, air pressure, lighting, surface texture, camera quality and AR tracking. Project estimators rely on the assumptions displayed in the App and cannot account for every opening, cut, breakage, product specification or site condition.

AR measurements and phone-sensor readings are estimates and are not certified, survey-grade or guaranteed to be accurate. Verify important dimensions, quantities, costs, dates and conversions with an appropriate calibrated instrument, current source data, product documentation or qualified professional.

5. No Professional or Safety-Critical Advice

The App is not a certified surveying, engineering, construction-safety, navigation, medical, legal, financial, aviation, marine or emergency instrument. Do not rely on it as the sole basis for a decision where an incorrect result could cause injury, property damage, financial loss or legal consequences. The compass reports magnetic heading and may be distorted; pressure-derived altitude is weather-dependent.

6. Safe Use of Camera and Sensors

Remain aware of traffic, stairs, obstacles and other people while using AR Measure. Do not use camera or sensor tools while driving, cycling, operating machinery or moving through an unsafe environment. Obtain any permission required before measuring or recording in a location, and follow workplace and site safety rules.

7. Your Data and Devices

You are responsible for the values, units, dates, locations and assumptions you enter and for maintaining control of your device. Saved data is local to the App installation and may be permanently lost if you delete it, clear storage, uninstall the App, replace the device or experience storage failure. Android backup is disabled. See the Privacy Policy for data practices and deletion options.

8. Advertising and Third-Party Services

The App uses Google services for advertising, consent and AR availability. Third-party content, services and links are governed by their providers’ terms and policies. We do not control advertisement content or external websites and are not responsible for transactions or interactions you choose to have with third parties. You must not use automated or deceptive means to interact with ads.

9. Intellectual Property

The App’s software, branding, visual design and original content are owned by or licensed to Latent Divergence Studios and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. Open-source and third-party components remain governed by their respective licences. These Terms do not transfer ownership of the App or its content to you.

10. Availability and Changes

Features may change, be corrected or be discontinued. Hardware-dependent features may be unavailable on devices lacking required sensors, camera support, AR services or compatible software. We do not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free or perpetual availability. We may update these Terms; continued use after an effective update constitutes acceptance where permitted by law.

11. Disclaimer of Warranties

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, THE APP IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF ACCURACY, MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AVAILABILITY AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. NOTHING IN THESE TERMS EXCLUDES A WARRANTY OR CONSUMER RIGHT THAT CANNOT LAWFULLY BE EXCLUDED.

12. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, LATENT DIVERGENCE STUDIOS AND ITS CONTRIBUTORS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE LOSS, OR FOR LOSS, WASTE, INJURY OR DAMAGE ARISING FROM INPUT ERRORS, SENSOR OR AR LIMITATIONS, TIME-ZONE CHANGES, PROJECT ESTIMATES, THIRD-PARTY SERVICES OR RELIANCE ON APP RESULTS. NOTHING IN THESE TERMS LIMITS LIABILITY THAT CANNOT LAWFULLY BE LIMITED.

13. Termination

You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it. Your permission to use the App ends automatically if you materially breach these Terms. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination—including intellectual-property, warranty and liability provisions—will continue to apply.

14. Severability and Entire Agreement

If a provision is found unenforceable, it will be limited to the minimum extent necessary and the remaining provisions will continue in effect. These Terms, the Privacy Policy, applicable mandatory law and the terms of the store through which you obtained the App form the agreement governing your use of MeasureME.
